devastating on the one hand...

Well, readers of many Melbourne blogs will know that we are experiencing some EXTREME weather at the moment.
Last night we pulled the plug on the Lunacy Park birthday party which was scheduled to happen on Sat'dy. Poor Pepper was so very upset, it broke my heart. But I couldn't bear the thought of us all EXPIRING in the 43 degree heat, being buffetted by sweltering north easterly winds.
I rang around the invitees and everyone is happy to prolong the suspense for another week.
The only sweetener to the dud deal was the thought of a YumCha to celebrate my Mum's birthday on Sunday morning! Yum yum.
The cloud has blown off and the skies are brilliant blue for today so lets get that washing on the line!
Can I also add that Mackie has had the most wonderful first week at HIGH SCHOOL. I am so proud of him and his cheery attitude and his general bonza 'can-do' outlook this week. His is growing up and so far I LOVE it!

Hi Emma. I followed you over from a comment on someone's blog (jeepers, cat remember who - an excellent sign that I read too many! Too many tabs opened at once, sometimes I get dizzy). Good call on cancelling the party me thinks. And, I LOVE the fimo beads! Cheers, MissyP.

A high school boy! Yikes. They both look very smart. And yes, the fimo beads, what a great idea.
Stay cool!

And as it crept up to 46 today aren't you glad you cancelled!?!? Wise wise woman.

Actually I saw a wedding car this morning, and I felt really really sorry for the bride.

Thanks everyone for your support.
Sadly I see today that being hot at Luna Park was the very least of worries for so many people.
We hung out at the pool feeling like a hair dryer was blowing into our faces for most of the day until the change.
