After our recent car disaster we were lucky enough to have the extended borrow of a great car.It's a tough old lady, a 1983 Volvo station wagon in fetching baby blue.
Never having driven a Volvo before, we were quickly enamoured. Yes she's a little "clunky", she makes a grating screech when executing a tight turn and we needed to retrain ourselves to "indicate" with the left-hand control, instead of turning on the windscreen wipers!
But we decided to "love the one you're with" and give her a top to toe, inside & out clean.
Under the passenger seat I found this shredded polka dot shirt with the inspiring label, pictured above.
Forget "bling" and conspicious consumerism, what you need is a healthy dose of realism.
