Some days it's great to go to work.
When you walk out into the crispy clear morning, with the sun shining, pausing to say Hi to the mechanic and the tram's on time and some lovely songs play on your ipod, it's a good day.
When you get to work and someone says to you "Have you seen this?" and it's the new book called Softies, well then it's a GREAT day!!!.
I even made it to the station in time for the early train and got a seat, and the sun was still shining when I walked back up the street to home, and my neighbours are friendly, and D got home BEFORE 6 o'clock (even though he has to go back in at 10pm) and the kids ate their dinner without complaining too much and Pepper has done her homework.
What more can I say?
I hope your day was great too.

I love it when a day runs like that. Everything just falls into place and nothing can go wrong. I mean kids eating dinner with little complaint - that alone (I am only guessing here) would probably be reason to celebrate.
And as for the BOOK. Gorgeous. Shame all these books are all so damned expensive. Must keep an eye out for it - check it out on amazon maybe...

Having pressed 'publish your comment' I remembered you are a children's bookseller and I am feeling a tad guilty about the Amazon comment. If only books were cheaper here it wouldn't be so tempting. No doubt this is more frustrating for you.
I do love a good bookshop (and have recently found myself heading straight to the craft section) but the prices are often prohibitive! Of course sometimes it is impossible to resist regardless...
