I'm guessing no one reads this blog anymore as I am fairly crap at keeping things up to date.
I can't imagine why you'd keep visiting but in the event that my jetsetting Mum wants to know what's going on in "da hood" here goes...
Renovation progressing apace.
It is extraordinarily cold at our house but we LOVE our house and a bit of cold doesn't seem a good enough reason to decamp.
Since day 1, the roof tiles have been off and the roof covered with a lovely green tarp.
The tarp is many many tarps joined together to fit over a whole house which need to be secured so as not to blow away in the many gusts that have blown upon the house in the past two and a half weeks. They are tied down at many points including our little courtyard with the big fig tree festooned with mirror balls. See above.
On the weekend, D and the kids climbed the ladder through the manhole in the bathroom up to the roof. It was very green up there and they liked it very much. See above.
My girlfriend Rachel had a birthday and invited the old gang. Four families and our motley bunch of pre-teens (and one teen) for a curry night to celebrate.
I got a bit carried away with decorating the cake. See above.

I am still reading!! Check in every other day to see what you are cooking, reading, how the reno's are going. We are booked in to restump later in the year-so interested in the whole process.
