crochet scrubber! blah.

I think I just deleted the photo I had posted of Pepper holding up the most truly ordinary piece of crafting I think I have ever completed.
At the primary school, after the runaway success of the Craft Stall at our last year's fete, the Crafty Mamas decided to go on...and on.
We had our first meeting last week after school drop off time and one Mum decided that it would be fun to profile a particular craft each time for the enlightenment of the bunch.
Week One was crochet. I have, in the deep recesses of the past, made a baby blanket out of crochet. It was very sweet in multiple hues of pastel and I never gave it away. (it's in the hall cupboard with the mountain of quilts)
Still, I was interested in crochet. I struggled to get a good grip on my hook, my wool, my temper.
After the class I completed the project at home. It was a cacky orange and white pot scrubber?
Last night at the neighbourhood craft get together, I took along my hook and all the leftover bits of wool my Mum could find and try as I might I could not raise an iota of love for crochet. Instead I drank some nice red and ate a bit of delish blue cheese with an expertly baked quince!
What I mean is...I felt all blah about crochet. It's not my thing.
