chop chop chop

Today I had to drive about to get jobs done. I'm not a natural traveller. I like my patch of the world and I get very twitchy if I have to go too far out of my comfort zone.
I had to deliver the clarinet (that Pepper can't be bothered to practise playing) back to the provider of lessons/instrument hire. The office was in Canterbury. I have only once in 40 years been to Canterbury and to me it seemed like a LONG way away.
I was rather pissed off to discover that even though I emailed them days ago to let them know I was coming, they didn't think to reply & let me know they moved location 3 weeks ago. To Blackburn. Sweet Mother ofGod. Where the hell is THAT? I had to call D and get him to look it up on google maps!
Driving the borrowed Volvinator, I didn't have a Melways. Bit of a f***ing oversight.
As if that wasn't traumatic enough, I then had to get my pathetic self to IKEA via the Eastern Fwy (never even knew that existed) Thank god it was almost like a ghost town in Ikea today or all hell might have broken loose...I was a woman on the edge.
So I felt I deserved a treat.
After early school pick up (last day of term) I called in to Amitie for a few lovely fat quarters. Sadly I was accompanied by 3 grade 4 kids. Still, we didn't break anything!
Then I indulged myself with a bit of chopping up. Some squares for the pink n pretty quilt I'm making and then straight on to circle-work for the Utter Puffery hair doo-dad empire!! I wasn't in the mood to store shreds of material for later. (I was on fire, with the scissors-watchout!)
One gin & tonic later, and I feel just fine.
Have a great weekend everyone....GO SAINTS!!!!

Man, you gotta watch out for those women out on the kill when they see red. That happens to me a lot too. Makes me laugh so hard though when afterwards I sit down and think it over a drink. Hope you have better days to come. hihihi! Blessings and you have yourself a very good day.
