Doesn't she look happy?Lucy is a very beautiful looking cat when at her sleek and relaxed best. This photo more realistically depicts her mood. She was the beloved only pet once, long before the pesky kids arrived on the scene and she's never really forgiven us for spoiling her idyllic lifestyle. Still she was always prone to a bit of snitchy scratchy bitey behaviour and we thought that was pretty funny, she had spark and attitude.
The kids granted Lucy her snooty superiority and left her well enough alone until the last year or so. Now they pick her up like one of those patient, docile and child-friendly moggies, but she's still not like that. She's 12-ish and grumpy and if you're not about to scratch her ears for half an hour then forget it!
I love her and her badness and I quietly chuckle every time she swipes some poor unsuspecting kid or visitor on their way innocently past her post on the end of the bench.

I love the droopy lidded look of distain. That's me in work-land, I'm afraid. But I'm a much happier blogger!
I can relate to the look - I get the same one from my cat, she was the first, we had the cheek to then get a dog, and years later have a child!
Cats just hold us in contempt, don't they?
I love a post about cats, in fact, anything about cats. I will definitely be one of those crazy cat ladies who dies in a house with 30 years of newspapers and 15 cats.
